Replace Aristocrat with Expert

Advice

Except for a weapon prof. couldn't you make a pretty good aristocrat with the expert class? What do you think?

Expert vs Aristocrat BaB same
Expert vs Aristocrat HD same
Expert vs Aristocrat saves same
Expert vs Aristocrat Skill list and # Expert Wins
Expert vs Aristocrat weapon pro Aristocrat Wins
Expert vs Aristocrat Armor and shield Aristocrat Wins

Now could you make NPC expert that use simple weapons and light armor and no shield that that has same skill list as the Aristocrat and more skills. Sure will be more skilled yes. but it will lack combat abilty of Aristocrat. It will have lower AC and junky weapon. Wich is fine if all his role is to talk and give out quets. But it job is fight PCs the better fight will be Aristocrat.

No, replace Aristocrat with Aristocat.

Class Skills include Perform (Jazz Piano) and Perform (Stand-up Bass)?

Perform (Scat)

Oh god!

Nah.

Scat should be a feat.

As a free action you can cast expeditious retreat (any spell slot of at least first level may be used, whatever was in the slot is lost) and run away. This consumes your next turn in the process. You take no AoO in the process of disengaging, although you are subject to normal AoOs should you pass through someone else's threat zone.

Requirements: Type: Feline.

Maybe you could, but why would you want to? Aristocracy basically represents a separate social class, the landed gentry, noble families, as opposed to the townsman guilded class, which is where the expert is mostly drawn from.

Silver Crusade

What LazrX says.

Why have one class when you can have two?

Think of Aristocrat as a pre-loaded Expert. It exists because WotC writers got tired of writing Warrior 1/Expert 1 for the hundredth time.

I dunno, I could see the Expert class representing some Aristocrats.

Mostly the kind with every social skill and knowledge skill they need to politically maneuver their way around noble courts, where stabbing people in broad daylight is generally frowned upon (aka, a martial weapon proficiency would make no sense).
