I've been looking over the traits, and aside from the non errata Heirloom Weapon, I can't find one that gives you what equates to an exotic weapon proficiency. I'm hoping to find one that lets you use any exotic weapon, as ones that give specific weapons aren't really what I'm looking for right now.
Anyone got any ideas?

There's a soon to be discontinued Lantern Lodge faction trait that gives proficiency in any monk weapon, many of them are exotic.

you're looking for Exotic Weapon Proficiency: The Trait? You aren't going to find it.
Traits are supposed to be weaker then feats so you wont ever be seeing EWP the trait. You might find or see in the future traits for a specific exotic weapon but it will likely be one of the many sub-par exotic weapons.
You say it like that's an out of line request. I mean there's basically Uncanny Dodge: The Trait or Toughness (plus an extra skill rank per level): The Trait, so let's not act like EWP, a feat rarely worth taking on its own, is outside of the sphere of what a trait can accomplish.

Campaign and religion traits. Therefor not open to everyone. That flatly makes them worse then feats. Now sure a DM could decide to let someone use any traits regardless of being from the wrong region or not in that campaign but a DM could also just let someone take EWP for free. What a DM "could" do can break anything after all.

I wasn't asking "Hey, does someone have a trait that my GM will allow?" I was asking "Is there ANY trait that gives me EWP." Telling me that someone might not allow something isn't really helping. I'll give that a campaign trait should be kept in its campaign, but since the PFSRD doesn't have deities listed (as it can't), whatever god I want is the god of Defensive Strategist, so claiming it's a religious trait is kinda moot here. EWP is not a game breaking feat, so rather than having to take it in place of other good feats, I'd rather replace a trait with it, even if it's in a more limited form (non errata Heirloom Weapon.)

This is closer to what I'm looking for, and a good jumping off point for later characters of mine. Although I doubt my GM will allow me to talk about the noble order of monks whom employ Launching Crossbows.

There is a racial ability gnomes get, that makes them prof with /any/ weapon they make. Even the whizzlesnatchal or the harishannoven.

Hey, there are all sorts of monk orders out there! I'm reminded of the Devouring Wound Technique description in Dungeons of Dredmor.
Just one wound inflicted by this most horrible technique will devour an enemy from the inside. This is not considered an honourable way to fight, no matter what the Monks of Assassination would have you believe.
