"Hide this Thread" - What is being hidden the most?

I was wondering if anyone at Paizo had looked into what was being hidden the most? certain topics, certain posters????

I doubt that any significant data crunching has been done on this, since you'd need a full on psych/anthro coding system to properly quantify topics. But I'm very curious if anyone's just taken a glance.

Mostly, though, I think you'll find that "most hides" will correlate with "longest-running threads."

I hide threads that I've posted in but have lost interest in, since my dot won't fall off with time like it used to. (Would love a way to "undot" a thread, btw, Gary.)

I pretty much Hide anything I have no interest in, using it somewhat like "mark thread as read" on other forums, but permanently. Cuts down on the visual clutter, and allow things that might be of more interest to me to float up.

That makes me useless as a data source for analyzing what kinds of things are most often hidden.

Alignment threads
"X Class sucks" threads

Those pretty much are on my "hide immediately" list. As is any thread that starts on another topic and drifts into one of these.

Agreed. You forgot one though - threads that are 'edition wars'. That is a big turn off for me.

I don't know that we've ever done any real statistics but a quick look indicates that the most-hidden threads are the longest-running, e.g., Ask James Jacobs or Fawtl.
