Multiclass and favored class

OK, lets say I'm a lvl 1 blah, but my favored class is blah2. If I lvl to lvl 2 and become lvl 1 blah/lvl 1 blah2, do I start getting my favored class stuff at that 1st lvl of blah2? or does it start at lvl 2 of blah2?

By raw it says that I can choose a different favored class than what I started with.

Each time you take a level in your favoured class, you get the bonus.

It doesn't matter when you took this particular level. Is this level you just took a level in your favoured class? If yes: get the bonus.

You pick one favored class. Anytime you take a level in that class, that's when you get a favored class bonus, and only then. Half-elves are the exception because they get to pick two favored classes. That help?
