Armour, Clothing and disguise

Rules Questions

Hi Everyone

Is there any clarification as to what armour could be worn/hidden under clothing

If a group was trying to travel through a hostile city that would be suspicious of anyone walking around in full armour what is the maximum people could expect to wear and not draw unwanted attention?

I assume all Medium and Heavy armours (except armoured coat) are a big no-no.
What about light armours? I expect my group would all claim they can wear chain shirts under their clothing. Is this realistic /acceptable? Or would it be noticed?

Thanks for your help

There are no rules for this.

By RAW, all you do is make a disguise skill roll using the built in rules. If a GM that wanted to be especially strict about it they could adjudicate a -2 penalty to the disguise skill roll.

Besides, the best way for a group to do this would likely be to sneak in under the cover of darkness and do whatever they need to quickly and leave. Otherwise, just avoid the damn place if its that hostile.

Also, your group could simply watch the guards around the city to see what kind of emblems and armor they wore. Then they could simply throw on some tabards with the same identifiers to pass themselves off as members of the guard.

Honestly, just have them make a disguise check and give them a -2.

I believe the text of celestial armor says something about wearing it under your clothing...but I cannot get the page to load right now to check

A chain shirt would be easily hidden under a baggy set of clothes.

Shadow Lodge

Kikko armor has text stating it can be worn under clothing.
