Another new PFS toon looking for a faction thread :)

Faction Hunting...

So I decided to re-roll my old 3.x Evoker (Wizard), a chap that goes by the name of Syndr. He's a pretty straightforward fellow. He is a former slave from Cheliax, burned and scarred both physically (low str, cha) and mentally (low cha, no cha-based skills.)

While having the usual breadth of Knowledge skills, he's not very tactful (Tiefling!) nor does he excel in survival skills (any athletic and perception are not wizard class skills). However he is big on DOING THE RIGHT THING. Why? Because given his history of being on the receiving end of not nice people, as he gains in power he doesn't want to end up the same way. He also has a bit of an independent streak and chafes under orders he considers frivolous or just plain stupid.

Metagame-wise it seems the 2 main skills needed for faction missions are diplomacy and perception. Now for both of these, he will just not be very good. Just give it up and live with half fame? Or is there a faction that will accept him as he is?

To recap his strengths:
All knowledge skills. Linguistics.

Weaknesses:
No perception. I will buy this up, but wis is a dump, and perception is not a class skill.
Horrible social skills.
No str, survivial, animal handling.

I'm leaning towards Silver Crusade just because they are big on doing the right thing...but he isn't exactly a divine-focused character. And he's more liable to frighten away potential converts, not that's he is really into preaching anyway.

Andoran because his ex-slave heritage sounds appealing...but he's not good with the "extreme measures" clause.

I've heard Osirian is more bookish...except he doesn't want to steal artifacts to help an old decadent empire gain power.

Any recommendations?

Qadarian... it's all about the money.

Appraise is an INT skill....

also, Osirian offers Tomb Raider as a Trait. Perception as a class skill, and a bonus to Kn. Dungeoneering.

As an Osirion many of the artifacts you will be asked to retrieve are originally from ancient Osirion tomb sites. So it is not really stealing so much as reclaiming the artifacts.

It's all Osirion artifacts, herbs, and rocks.

They also have the best tea parties.

Based on the short fluff you gave...

Andoran(CG) or Silver Crusade(LG)

While you aren't a perfect fit for either, they are the closest to your fluff.

Andoran might be a little too zealous for you...

Silver Crusade, while heavy into the Divine fluff, takes anyone looking to the greater good.
