Combat maneuvers and damage

I have a question: if I perform a combat maneuver with a weapon as an attack, can I also inflict weapon damage to my opponent?

No, it is one or the other.

And man oh man i wish there was....trying to figure out a way around that for our party's Reposition fighter....

AS Komoda say normally is the one or the other. There are however a couple of option to make and attack an a combat manevuer like then felling smash and the hamatula strike feats and a couple of archetype ability like the piledriver from te THF fighter archetype.

Sundering with the greater sunder feat does this.
