Horse Master feat + Huntsman archetype?

Pathfinder Society

Can a Huntsman cavalier take the Horse Master feat?

(Well, yes, he can*, but will it do anything for his Hunting Companion?)

*Horse Master requires Skill Focus: Handle Animal and "not having an archetype that trades away Expert Trainer". Huntsmaster still has Expert Trainer.

In aditional resources says that the Huntsman only can have one animal companion, thereafter you need 6 ranks in ride to acquire this feat, is a prerequisite, then you need be level 6.
Horse master only gives to you your efective level of druid, but why you need this feat? And Hunhting Pack replaces your mount ability why you want a mount feat?

I want to multiclass out of Cavalier and progress my bird with the feat.

But Horse master is for Horses, or mounts, read carefully the feat.

Just taking a guess, but Axebeak is a bird that can be a mount.

But it's not the bird animal companion and wouldn't be a valid choice for the huntsmaster for the same reason why they cannot have a Roc.

Unfortunately Haco is correct. The feat is worded specifically for a "mount".

I personally would not challenge it, but RAW.. No it doesn't work.

Boon companion would give you four levels depending on how much multi-classing you wanted.
