I was overlooking the Summoner class for an encounter for my party and felt somewhat perplexed by how some evolutions had restrictions limited by base form.
As an example the Trample evolution for an Eidolon.
"This evolution is only available to eidolons of the biped or quadruped base forms."
Not that its major setback but when I look at say the aquatic form and choose to give it limbs (legs)(2) to make it be a quadruped, its not one by base form.
Or am I reading that wrong?
It'll be a quadruped with regards to stability, carrying capacity and such. But it will not have the quadruped base form.
