The reason why Paizo wants people to go to Cons to get Race Boons is the most secret thing in secretom... they are a business first.

Yes it is generally frowned upon to pay cash for a race boon. Yet in all actuality, spending cash to go to the Con is really a lottery chance to get a race boon Vs spending money to get a race boon with little chance involved (the frowned upon option).

If all races were legal, Paizo would have a tougher time attracting people to their cons which means less cash flow, which means they are not profiting.

The Pathfinder Puritan fiddlesticks really about why there are legal, restricted, and banned races. The excuses I've read by such Pathfinder Puritans are such moot points that they barely hold an ounce of water.

Paizo is a business. Money is what allows them to publish more books, hold cons, sell more miniatures, etc.

I would preorder a player companion that came with a Chronicle Sheet for that Race like how Aasimars had it as that is closer to a guaranteed chance.

Eberron Wolf Shifters in Pathfinder? Sounds awesome. Depending on what the Shifters give this time around it might actually make for some pretty funny builds.

Its a line spell.
The once/twice/thrice per day for X number of rounds is if you, the stormborn, choose to maintain that form or end it.

Which has two usages.
The first is to use this spell as a (1/2/3)/DAY transportation trick.
The second is to use this as an offensive tactic as long as you can travel in a straight line.

A straight line can be a part of the X or Y axis of the board or to move diagonally so long as you have enough movement to permit it... which you should when using this bloodline power.

A good example is think of a queen on a chess board. She can move just like a bishop diagonally or on a X/Y axis like a rook.

I wonder what RP value of the Skinwalker will be.

Around 10 RP. Kitsune are lesser shapechangers. At most I can see it being around 15 RP.

I think it would be neat to see more playable races. Seems like a good incentive for players who get tired of playing the core races or the T/A/T races.

I don't see why they would not stack unless there is a specific rule that states multiple instances of trapfinding won't stack. It perplexes me because normally extra benefits that are the same benefit (IE a Rogue 2/Monk 2 only treats his Evasion class trait as normal) don't conflict but don't really add anything to already existing class traits.

That and the double trapfinding are gained at different levels and are obtained only because you traded the Brew Potion bonus feat and the Poison Resistance part.

I honestly don't see what would be considered OP or BROKEN about such a thing if it allowed the rogue in the party not be stuck on trap duty if at twentieth level you got a +20 to Perception to find the trap and +20 to disable that trap.

Plus after reading it carefully they would stack only because of the wording.

Crypt Breaker: 1/2 his level
Trap Breaker: 1/2 his alchemist level

Where the CB refers to half your overall level with any multiclassing involved.
While the TB refers to half your overall ALCHEMIST level without any non-ALCHEMIST levels if the character had multiclassed.

I would say they don't. This feat be one of those rare cases that doesn't give you a "feat" bonus but a racial bonus instead.

Hmm alright I concur with you duckie and claxon.

Not region locked but defiantly bred in different regions. Each mount trait you decided to pick up applies to the rider's maximum total for traits they can have. However I do doubt their would be a dual breed horse as then it would not be worth as much when compared to a strong purebred.

Can a mule become combat trained since it is effectively a pony with the advanced template?
Can a mule be considered a horse for the mount traits relating to horse breeds (Like Dort Chargers, Lastwall Jaspers)?

Reason for questions is that a player is bringing in a new character since the previous one died. He is playing a Half-Elf who is hoping to have a combat trained Chiardmar mule, which is a half breed (Half donkey half horse)

For reference I point you to the Armiger's Panoply (wrist slot, 7,200 gp) from the Knights of the Inner Sea book.

If you can use third party materials, the Gutter Stalker prestige class does over it when you reach its 2nd level.

If not, then there is not much I can say. I would actually suggest you get the Scent rage power in tandem with the Cord of Stubborn Resolve because even the person who wrote it had the intentions for it be a way for barbarians to rage cycle.

Was just reading my copy of Rival Guide the other day and remembered it. It had two feats that I thought were pretty good for a whip user.

Two Beneficial Whip Feats:

Serpent Lash wrote:

Prerequisites: Weapon Finesse, proficient in whip.

Benefit: As a standard action, you can make a disarm or trip maneuver with your whip. If it succeeds, you can make an additional disarm or trip maneuver with the same bonus against a target adjacent to the first and also within your whip’s reach.

In addition, you can use your whip to perform reposition maneuvers, though you take a –4 penalty on your CMB and you may only move the target toward you from its original position.

Greater Serpent Lash wrote:

Prerequisites: Serpent Lash, base attack bonus +4.

Benefit: When you make a successful disarm or trip maneuver using the Serpent Lash feat, you can make your additional disarm or trip attempt against any target within your whip’s reach. With a reposition maneuver, you can move the target creature to any point within your whip’s reach.

I was overlooking the Summoner class for an encounter for my party and felt somewhat perplexed by how some evolutions had restrictions limited by base form.

As an example the Trample evolution for an Eidolon.
"This evolution is only available to eidolons of the biped or quadruped base forms."

Not that its major setback but when I look at say the aquatic form and choose to give it limbs (legs)(2) to make it be a quadruped, its not one by base form.

Or am I reading that wrong?

What exactly is your question?

If a character with familiar gets the improved familiar feat and you want to apply an archetype to it like Pilferer then what to do about the part where the archetype replaces the "speak with others of its kind" ability that all familiars can normally gain.

I guess I will just BUMP this. It would be appreciated if someone could answer my question.

2 people marked this as FAQ candidate.

I got a player who is plays a female gnome witch with a Squirrel as her familiar with the archetype Pilferer. It is great familiar for laughs and witch does plan to find a way to give her familiar the ring of evasion so it off sets the archetype.

However problem occurs when she was thinking of getting the improved familiar feat. She would like to get a Faerie yet problem is with familiar archetype that don't mesh with the part about archetype replacing the "Speak with Animals of its kind".

If the question has already been answered, it would be nice to be pointed to answer. However if there is none I must admit it would look like the archetypes could use some errata.
