i have a monk that has a grapple feat and not been able to grab most of the big bads in the game. i plan to take trip and disarm later to be more versatile
i have focused mostly on ac and now i need good ways to boost to hit and cmb
and what stacks with cmb?

humans can get the trait bred for war a +1 cmb.
There is also a relgion trait to raise grapples.
Raising yoru strength will raise the CMB.
Improved grapple and greater grapple each give a stacking +2
Increasing yoru size raises the grapple.
I do not think AC is worth working on. A grapple build defends himself by grapplign and pinning the opponent

Anything that boosts attack rolls, boost CMB.
If using a weapon to perform a Combat Maneuver, you can add it's enhancement bonus to the CMB roll.
