Quality of physical copy of AP 52

Customer Service

I am not sure if i should post this question here or in the paizo products subforum (or even in the customer service subforum), if it doesn't belong here please move it.

I just recieved AP 52, jade regent 4 forest of spirits that i ordered from via amazon.uk from the books2anywhereUS seller and the book is pretty beat up for a new copy.
So i would like to ask Paizo if they had any printing issues with that volume, specifically the book has folding marks and a little scratched top right corner, the upper end of the binding is a little loose and the lower left corner also has folding marks.

Do any or all of these faults lie with Paizo and their priters or not?

PS. I am saying this just to be clear, i don't have any claims of Paizo for my somewhat damaged product, i didn't buy it from them so i can't ask anything, i am just trying to find out how to rate this specific seller and i don't want to blame them for something that isn't their fault (in the case that this specific AP volume, or a batch of it had problems from the printing end).

My AP 52 is in pristine condition. And Paizo makes of point of not sending out 'damaged' product to customers, unless it is clearly bought from them as discounted 'non-mint' condition.

If it looks beat up, most likely it happened when the product was shipped to Amazon, or something happened in the Amazon warehouse. I can't see Paizo sending damaged or sub-standard product to distributors so such things are most likely happening once the product leaves Paizo's hands.

Grand Lodge

I subscribe to the line and got mine directly from Paizo. It was in perfect condition.

There is a very simple solution. Click on the returns button and send it back for a full refund.

The book is still in print, so you can just grab a replacement mint copy from amazon uk directly.

@Black Moria
Amazon had nothing to do with sending me this product, i bought it from a seller on the amazon market (books2anywhereUS).

@Jeven
I will search and ask them about their return policies, but if they ask me to pay the packaging and shipping costs for the return, it's going to cost me about 35% or more of the final value and wait another 3 weeks to get the new one.

Anyway thank you all for taking time to tell me about your copies.

Even the non-mint stuff I've ordered here from Paizo seems to be in nearly pristine quality; at least, I've never noticed any flaws or errors or damage on my copies.

I'd guess it was most likely something that happened in-transit. Amazon is pretty good about returning/replacing items, from what I know. (Admittedly, I've only ever returned one item, and that was because I didn't realize I was ordering an audio book rather than a book book, but they were cool about that. Only a minimal restocking fee or something.)

But yeah, this should probably go in Customer Service.

Yeah, Amazon marketplace resellers (as opposed to amazon itself) can be a bit unreliable. Quite a few pass off second-hand or damaged books as "brand new". I've been stung a few times.

Anyway, just click on the refunds button. They will then contact you. Part of the resellers contract means they have to refund everything you've paid including postage & packaging.
You still have to pay the postage to send it back to them though.
But they will probably offer you a partial refund to keep the book. If you decide to go with that, insist on at least a 50% refund.

And a replacement book direct from amazon UK shouldn't take long. I order them there from Holland and even with supersaver they rarely take more than a week to arrive.

We ask that you first go through the original seller of the product to refund and exchange your damaged copy. If they are unwilling or unable to assist you, please let us know via email: customer.service@paizo.com

@Justin Riddler
Thank you very much for offering to help.
As i said i don't claim anything from Paizo, i just wanted to know if there was something wrong with the manufacturing of this product (long shot i know) before i assign blame to the amazon seller books2anywhereUS, as the other posters informed me there was nothing wrong with their copies.

@Jeven
Yeah i also think that they are going to ask me to pay the shipping costs for sending it back.
If they offer me a partial refund i will gladly take it but don't you think that 50% is somewhat too much?
Everything* i have bought from amazon takes 2 or 3 weeks (rarely more) to get to my country (Greece), very rarely i did get something in under 2 weeks. That is both from amazon (super free delivery) or from the sellers from amazon marketplace.

*that wasn't out of stock or anything
