Champion of Irori LoH stacking

Rules Questions

Reference: Champion of Irori PFSRD page

Under the Champion's Ki Pool ability, it mentions that a Champion of Irori can spend ki to trigger Lay on hands or Smite Evil. It also states that levels in Champion of Irori stack with Paladin levels to "determine the effect of such abilities."
Can I get some disambiguation on this? What exactly do the class's levels stack to determine in regard to Lay on Hands: dice, #of uses, or both? Do the levels of Champion stack with Paladin for any use of Lay on Hands, or just the ki-powered ones?

I believe it means that your Champion levels stack with Paladin levels for determining dice and #of uses of Lay on Hands. In addition, you can spend Ki points for additional Lay on Hands.

Hmm...I'd say that it just contributes to the dice being rolled for the LOH.

Emphasis mine. That seems to indicate that the stacking is only for what you get after activating LOH or Smite Evil, not for the number of uses you would have.

Furthermore, this is all under the usage of Ki to trigger the effects, which would be standing-in for uses/day. You would have however many uses you had from paladin levels, plus however much Ki you have. It seems excessive to ALSO be increasing your normal uses/day in addition to the Ki uses.

Since the ki is used to grant extra uses it seems like they only stack to determine the effects of lay on hands with regard to the number of dice you roll when using LoH.

Ah, thank you. My gut was telling me it was just the dice, but when I put it in Hero Lab it wasn't stacking right.
