I suppose you're right. I'm not sure I understand why you'd want to though, coolest looking hat at the party?

Taking a closer look...I guess you could have about...160 out without using some kind of metamagic to extend the spell length. This is because you can get 8 per casting, and it lasts for 1 round/level. So that would be a maximum of 20 rounds with the spell unaltered, which translates to 20 castings before your first spell runs out, and new castings just replace the old.
I might be a bit off with the action economy, so give or take a round. Also, if you are going to use a standard action to launch them (and your last spell is not quickened) then that would be 19 castings for 152 shuriken. Again, extended spells and quickened spells can raise this number by quite a bit.
So the real question comes down to this: would the standard action launch all the shuriken from multiple castings, or just one casting at a time?
