For rogues and ninjas and anyone else who wants to walk around in stealth (because if you can why not?)
Besides abusing low-light situations, are there more ways to gain concealment or abilities that allow you to jump into or use stealth?
Also Mid combat what are some options for Stealth? I thought about the mistmail but wasn't sure if that would really work, TECHNICALLY you get concealment from the fog, but then if your trying to move around stealthed your a moving fog cloud...
Any input?

I fail to see how a dwarf standing in the dark does anything to hellcat stealth
If u want to literally walk around completely stealthed you need at least 2 things
1. A way to gain cover/concealment like HiPS/hellcat/invisibility
2. Fast stealth...or you will be left behind by the rest of the party
Ninjas have this easy since at level 4 you can have Fast Stealth and Vanish Trick
Because of some houseruling my rogue/alchemist/assassin was able to trade out evasion for the ninjas ki pool (which is basically what the ninja does anyways)
Currently my party members are unaware of my ability to vanish...I craft and use smoke pellets to hide the fact that I vanish...they are still confused as to "how" I disappear :)

Hellcat Stealth
You are difficult to see in the light.
Prerequisites: Skill Focus (Stealth), Stealth 6 ranks.
Benefit: You may make Stealth checks in normal or bright light even when observed, but at a -10 penalty.
Normal: You cannot make Stealth checks while observed.
You are not in normal light or bright light, but you also have zero cover or concealment from the dwarf, or anything else with darkvision (which is most of the bestiary)
If you or your party caries a light source, you're alerting everything in the dungeon to your general presence (if not the stealthers exact location)
Note that hide in plain sight doesn't actually let you hide in plain sight unless you're a shadow dancer: There are two things you need for stealth: to not be observed AND cover or concealment. HIPS doesn't eliminate the concealment requirement, just the being observed one.

Ah the way you worded it is what got me...I was reading it as the dwarf had hellcat stealth...got ya now
Also as long as you are not observed you can stealth...you need neither cover nor concealment when you meet the requirements to use HiPS or other abilities
NORMALLY you cannot stealth without cover or concealment because you are being observed...HiPS (like SD or Assassin) trumps the need for you to not be observed

What forms of Hide in Plain Sight don't actually let you hide in plain sight? Because I am fairly certain that ALL forms of HiPS let you do precisely that.
