Cold iron - damage reduction on a fey

Rules Questions

Just a quick, basic question about DR/5 Cold Iron on a fey.

Do magic attacks like magic missile or the like penetrate the damage resistance? If not, is there any way for a level level caster to effectively damage those things?

Do magic weapons, like a +1 magic weapon, do full damage?

Magical spells (Except ones that do bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage) automatically overcome all damage reduction. IT doesn't matter what kind of damage reduction it is - even DR/- is overcome.

No. The only type of weapon that overcomes DR/cold iron is a cold iron weapon, or a weapon with a +3 or higher enhancement bonus. (+3 weapons can overcome DR/Magic, DR/Silver, and DR/Cold Iron.)

Damage reduction only protects against Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing damage.

This is why I always buy a cold iron Morningstar as a back up weapon.
16 gold is cheap!
