I hear that the two best choices for a summoner is half-elf or gnome, which is best for long term, and how do you get a large starting eidolon?
You can't get a large starting eidolon. The earliest you can get a large eidolon is 8th level. As for race, half elf is better. You can put the +2 into charisma, and their favored class bonus will get you extra evolution points. Hope this helped!
