Ok I've read several posts on this but wanted a definiate answer for this. If a person is hit by infernal healing according to the spell they detect as an evil creature for 1 minute. Does this mean that a weapon with Holy will affect them like they are an evil creature or am I reading this incorrectly?

Is it just me or is this poorly made spell?
I mean what is the difference in detecting as evil for as Detect evil spell vs a holy paladin's smite evil.
What is the point to detect evil for minute?
So not evil folks can side by evil detecters? If so that is dumb for a evil god to give to their followers or to create.
I mean Evil night club with a Anti-paladin working the door. A paladin walk up and the Anti-paladin say you can not come it you are not evil.
Paladin leaves and comes back next night with his wizard bubyto get in he has wizard cast Infernal Healing on both of them and the get in to the evil bar?
I mean unless there is some risk of the paladin falling form grace by this spell... What is the upside for the Asmodeus if you do not get hurt by holy weapons, paldians smite, so on and so forth. The way you rule this spell make Asmodeus all worlds/planes biggest idot for making this spell. Wich he is not....

Originally, Asmodeus created this spell solely for his priests (both Gods and Magic and AP issue #29 specified that the spell could only be cast by worshippers of Asmodeus). The reprint in The Inner Sea World Guide omitted this restriction, lessening that particular aspect of the spell's flavor.
Anyway, even currently, if a follower of Asmodeus makes someone else detect as evil, then perhaps a paladin will detect that, try to kill the person (and succeed), and then later discover that the person wasn't evil at all. Which wouldn't be a good place to be for a paladin :)
