Question about Skill Ranks.

Rules Questions

I'm still new to this game. And at the stage of creating PC and was wondering, At lvl 1 (creating the PC) do you get the "Skill Ranks per Level" for that class? This question came to mind, when i looked at the Human traits, and saw "Skilled: Humans gain an additional skill rank at 1st level.." Which made me question, in "Addition" to what?

Yes, plus or minus your intelligence modifier, and possibly plus a bonus for taking a level in your favored class. And then the extra point for being Human.

In addition to the skill points every other race gets too.

Skill Ranks, where they come from.
Class: either 2, 4, 6 or 8 per level.
Intelligence: + or - skills equal to intelligence modifier
Favored class: Optional +1
Human: +1 per level.

So for instance a human rogue with an int of 14(+2) and not taking his favored class bonus in skills would get (8+2+1=)11 skill points a level.

A dwarven fighter with a int 7 (-2) and not putting his favored class into skills would be (2-2=)0 but everyone gets a minimum of 1 per level so he would get 1.

A half orc Barbarian with a int of 8(-1) and putting his favored class bonus into skills would get (4-1+1=)4 skill ranks per level.

Hope that helps.
