How Big Is Big?

Rules Questions

Is there a chart or something somewhere that gives benchmarks or even approximations of just how large a creature is based on its size? For instance, how tall would a Huge Gnoll be? Or how long a Gargantuan Cobra might be?

d20pfsrd.com has something that might help.

Pathfinder, for some reason, didn't copy the 3.5 D&D chart that shows the height/weight ranges for the size categories. That information is Open Content so it was available, they just chose not to include it.

The link StormHunter provided has the chart.

Diminutive: A Diminutive creature is typically between 6 inches
and 1 foot in height or length and weighs between 1/8 pound and 1 pound.

Tiny: A Tiny creature is typically between 1 and 2 feet in height
or length and weighs between 1 and 8 pounds.

Small: A Small creature is typically between 2 feet and 4 feet in
height or length and weighs between 8 pounds and 60 pounds.

Medium: A Medium creature is typically between 4 and 8 feet in
height or length and weighs between 60 and 500 pounds.

Large: A Large creature is typically between 8 and 16 feet in
height or length and weighs between 500 and 4,000 pounds.

Huge: A Huge creature is typically between 16 and 32 feet in
height or length and weighs between 4,000 and 32,000 pounds.

Gargantuan: A Gargantuan creature is between 32 and 64 feet in
height or length and weighs between 32,000 and 250,000 pounds.

Colossal: A Colossal creature is typically 64 feet or more in
height or length and weighs 250,000 pounds or more.

Shadow Lodge

Easiest way to think of it is that humans are medium, anything medium size is the same/similar size.

Small is half-medium size, tiny is half-small size, and so forth.

Large is twice-medium size, huge is twice-large size, and so forth.

You know, I'm on the d20pfsrd site as much or more than I am here. Why it didn't occur to me to look there is testament to why you shouldn't wonder about things until you see what the new meds will do... lol

Thanks, all!
