Grendadier help

Advice

WoW its been a long time since i posted on these forums, feels good to be back.

So I'm working on a Terriorst type villian that would be part of a larger sect. I figured a Grendadier would be a good way to go, maybe with a few lvls of rogue and assassin. But since i'm not as familar with the alchemist class as others I figure i'd ask for some aid.

A gnome Alchemist (Sabatour) would certainly fit the bill.

Grand Lodge

Avoid Rogue and Assassin levels.

Are you looking to focus on bombs?

Yea, bombs are the main focus.

Can bombs actually be made to work decently? Even with full-attacks, the damage just seems pretty low and limited to me (especially the splash).

Can't resist leaving a dot here. Sadly, I don't have advice to give for the build at the moment.

Grand Lodge

Oh yeah.

Alchemist can totally nova, with multiple bombs, and smoke and burning hate.

Considering how close I have come to taking out the party when my alchemist gets dominated I would say they can be a definite threat. Things like Tanglefoot Bomb, Force Bomb and Smoke Bomb can debuff the party WHILE still doing damage.

Nab explosive bomb. Asides from being able to make a bomb that does continuous fire damage, ALL bombs do splash to creatures within 10 ft instead of 5. It's pretty good.

Keep in mind that with Swift Alchemy and related abilities, your terrorist can spend merry days creating large quantities of acid and alchemist's fire, with many applications.

Grand Lodge

Smoke Bomb and Stink Bomb will dominate and control the battlefield, weaken enemies, and still deal all that nice bomb damage.
