Druids and Bark Skin

I know most, if not all, natural armors/bonuses don't stack.

1.) I was however, wondering if Bark Skin stacks with a Druid's Wild Shape.

Per the barkskin spell, it stacks with natural armor but not other enhancements to natural armor. Does that help?

Barkskin toughens a creature's skin. The effect grants a +2 enhancement bonus to the creature's existing natural armor bonus. This enhancement bonus increases by 1 for every three caster levels above 3rd, to a maximum of +5 at 12th level.

The enhancement bonus provided by barkskin stacks with the target's natural armor bonus, but not with other enhancement bonuses to natural armor. A creature without natural armor has an effective natural armor bonus of +0.

Edit to update for wildshape: Wildshape works like Beast Shape, which provides a natural armor bonus so yes they stack.

If I am understanding this right, then Bark Skin would indeed stack with the Natural Armor granted by a druid's wild shape form.

I hope...

That's a good question. I think a re-read of Barkskin and Wild Shape will answer it.

Barkskin:
"The effect grants a +2 enhancement bonus to the creature's existing natural armor bonus"
"The enhancement bonus provided by barkskin stacks with the target's natural armor bonus, but not with other enhancement bonuses to natural armor"

Wild Shape:
"If the form you take is that of a Medium animal, you gain a +2 size bonus to your Strength and a +2 natural armor bonus."

So, one grants you a natural armor bonus, the other grants an enhancement bonus to natural armor. That +2 from Beast Shape becomes a +4 with Barkskin, and that's the number you add.

If you had a natural armor bonus before wildshaping, it wouldn't stack with the bonus from Beast Shape - because they'd be the same bonus type.

Now, can you tell me what happens if you were wearing an amulet of natural armor before wildshaping?

I would imagine either Wild Shape or Barkskin's bonus would replace the bonus of that Amulet. I'm still fairly new to Pathfinder though... :P

I'm starting to get the hang of things!

Wildshape works like Beast Shape, which gives you a natural armor bonus. Barkskin gives an enhancement bonus to the natural armor bonus. Those are different types of bonuses, so they stack. Enjoy :)

Note that Barkskin won't stack with a lot of other things, such as the Amulet of Natural Armor (which is actually powered by a Barkskin spell prerequisite, duh).

Look at it like this:

Worn armor gives an armor bonus. If you enchant the armor you will get an enhancement on that armor bonus.

Natural Armor gives a Natural Armor bonus. Bark skin gives your natural armor an enhancement on that Natural Armor bonus.

The big difference is that the vast majority of creatures do not/cannot have an ARMOR bonus of 0.

All creatures DO have at least a NATURAL armor bonus of 0.

The point being that having a natural armor bonus of 0 allows enhancement bonus' to that armor to work. If a spell gives you a natural armor bonus it is just like wearing a suit of manufactured armor in that you can then 'enhance' it with other magic or items.
