Acquire Dragon Bile from dead dragon

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Are there any rules for acquiring any leftover poison from a defeated dragon? My friend and I beat a Crag Linnorm, and we hoped to swipe some of its poison to hang onto just in case. we were hoping there was a system in place for how much we could acquire, if any, rather than make it up on the spot.

I'd say a Knowledge Nature to find the gall bladder, and a Dex Check to get it out. Then I'd default to the Handling Poison rules.
And as your GM, I'd congratulate you on thinking outside the box.

Thank you! Assuming, nobody else shows up with an explanation of where Paizo already printed rules on it (which I begin to suspect they have not...) we'll probably go with that.

Much Appreciated, yours,
Forger

There are no rules as far as I know - however I use a suggestion that James Jacobs wrote a few years back:

Survival DC = posion DC to harvest the poison
then Craft:alchemy to transmute it into a poison that will survive indefinitely.
