I need help with my back ground story

Advice

I'm going to play a Kitsune that grue up in the slum in Minkai and the senario will be in Kaer Maga. I don't know why my character would travel there.

My character has one level as a kitsune trickster and I'm going to level archaeologist bard after that. My first level feat is Realistic likeness Traits are Power of Suggestion,Fate’s Favored and my drawback is Meticulous so i have one trait that i have not chosen.

The character believe in Sivanah and newer uses his fox shape.

Skills
Bluff 13
Diplomacy 13
disguise 13+10
sens motive 13
And many other social skills are at that level.

But my main problem is why my character would travel from Minkai to Kaer mage.

Any help will be appreciated.

Just off the top of my head:
- Maybe he is trying to reinvent himself. He was just a lowly begger in Minkai of low birth but if he moves he can claim to be The bastard son of a high born lord.
- He is on the run. His bookie is done with the excuses and is going to come after him.
- You are going on a archeaological investigation of the ruins outside of kaer mage. You just need to raise some money to carry it out.

hmmm. well, from what I understand reading the Kaer Maga entry on Pathfinder Wiki, the city is a boiling cauldron of anarchy, where people from all races and cultures reside (mainly outcasts and exiled misfits). You mentioned you're going archaeologist after trickster: could it be that your character is in search of some information concerning a relic or other artifact, and that information is warded by some outcast that lives in Kaer Maga?

Grand Lodge

Maybe you worked with some stolen artifact smugglers.

Things went bad, and you used some connections to smuggle yourself out of the country.

Kaer Maga might not have been your first pick, but it was what was available at the time, as a far away place in which you wouldn't be recognized.

Likely, you have a bit of the old desire to relive the thrill of your old ways, but are a bit more careful now.

A rank or so in Knowledge(History), Appraise, and Knowledge(local) will all make the story come together.

Liberty's Edge

Maybe you've decided to wander, took the adventurer's path on a whim, and use your charm to get out of trouble.

Or the classic, "the bale/bag/crate/coffin was so comfortable/hidden/safe, and you couldn't get out before the ship/wagon/blimp/teleport was on it's way, so you found yourself at loose ends in"

So you need a reason why he has left Minkai, and a reason why he traveled to Kaer Maga of all places?
Reasons to leave Minkai could be just looking for adventure, or being discriminated there, some really traumatic event (like the death of his parents/ siblings, or his home being burned down), or maybe he's being accused (falsely or not) and is running from the punishment.
You could also lookup the tread "100 reasons to leave town".
Why Kaer Maga?
Maybe you knew someone in there, or you where drawn to the anarchy of the place, or you where sick of being an outcast.

Liberty's Edge

A 'slick deal' went bad, and a group of merchants were headed for Kaer Maga. When you're on the run, and the road is dangerous, any place sounds good, and there's safety in numbers...and maybe even a profit.

Grand Lodge

I still like the smuggler route.

Fits with the Archeologist levels, and the whole Illusionist/Liar/Master of Disguise thing.

Also, the little bit of Indiana Jones/Micheal Weston feel makes the adventuring Archeologist thing just cool, and flavorful.
