Critical confirmation bonus

Rules Questions

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I could not find any answers by searching.

What is meant by "Add +1/2 on critical hit confirmation?" what is the +1/2? I can't be plus one half can it? Is it plus 1 per 2 levels?

Is this something that's a favored class bonus? If so, then it really is add +1/2 each time you take the benefit. That also mean you get +1 for every 2 levels in which you take that benefit. So in a sense, it's both.

This does sound like a favored class bonus in which case, yes, it's +1/2. Which rounds down normally. So for every two times you select that bonus you would get a +1 bonus to critical confirmation rolls.

The Exchange

Yeah; it's not one of my favorite mechanics, since you have to keep a tally somewhere of how many times you've invested in that 'favored class benefit' as you go up levels. Not too bad with '+one half of a bonus to confirmation rolls', but you can imagine the lengthy and frustrating road of a human rogue who has written on his character sheet, '+four-sixths of an extra rogue talent'. Tends to get lost on your character sheet's margins too, since that sort of little detail doesn't usually justify an entire line in the 'Feats/Powers/Abilities' box.
