Undead racial bonus

Rules Questions

If I raise a race as an undead, does it get to keep its racial bonuses? For example, would a raised elf lose its +2 to dex or keep it? And would a raised hafling have a +2 to charisma even though the base charisma is set to 10?

Liberty's Edge

When raised you would keep your normal stats, except, when it changes your stats to a specific number.

What type of undead are you referring to? The exact template used should have specific rules for this situation.

Animate dead, into a bloody skeleton. While it does say to set the charisma to 14 and the wisdom to 10, would a race with an increase or penalty to one of these stats get an increase? It still has the same race, but with an added template.

In this case, any racial bonus (or penalties) you have don't matter. The template sets your score to a specific value, so thats what you get.

The Exchange

The 'skeleton' and 'zombie' templates - and maybe a few others - break the usual template rules by replacing the creature's base stats. Most other templates, including the juju zombie, allow the base race to keep its stat modifiers (aside from Constitution, which is lost entirely) and most of its other racial qualities.

Does it still keep the modifiers that aren't set, then, in this case strength and dexterity?

Yes. An elven skeleton will have +4 Dexterity - +2 from being an elf, +2 from the skeleton template.
