Lingering Performance and Allegro

Hi everyone.

I've a doubt about the feat "Lingering Performance" and the "Allegro" bard' spell:

1) If i start a performance (not as a standard action of course) and then i cast Allegro, what happens if, the next round, i stop performing but i've the feat Lingering Performance?

2) Can i cast Allegro after i stopped performing if i have the Lingering Performance feat?

The Allegro spell specifically says maintaining a bardic performance. When using lingering performance you are not maintaining, you simply get to enjoy the benefits of that performance for a bit longer.

I would say no, you cannot cast allegro if you don't maintain. And if you quit maintaining and lingering performance kicks in, you lose Allegro.

As written, the answers to your questions are:

1) The effects of the Allegro stop, but you continue to gain the normal effects of your performance.
2) No.

Lingering Performance lets you continue to enjoy the effects of bardic performance for two rounds after you stop maintaining it. Allegro only has an effect while you are maintaining the performance.
