For Bardic Performance, it says that if a bard is paralyzed, his performance end immediately. I have a player arguing that his Lingering Performance should still carry on for 2 rounds after he gets paralyzed. Not sure what the ruling is on this, hoping someone knows.
Lingering Performance says, "afer you cease performing" but I'm not sure if the "ends immediately" from paralsys is the same thing.

Lingering Performance essentially causes your performance to 'echo', and become an ongoing effect that lasts even after your performance has ceased. I'd argue that would be the case even if the performance stopped due to the bard's death.
Your confusion comes in because you are reading only a single part of the sentence, The full sentence you're referencing is this:
A bardic performance cannot be disrupted, but it ends immediately if the bard is killed, paralyzed, stunned, knocked unconscious, or otherwise prevented from taking a free action to maintain it each round.
I highlighted the important part here: This rule is based around the idea of maintaining a performance. Lingering Performance is not 'maintaining' a performance; it is a special extension of the performance that occurs without the bard needing to maintain.
