Long story short I plan on having a man shaped foe fight my PCs.
He will essentially be an animate pile of papers shaped as a man.
I plan on giving him 1 level of the scrollmaster archetype (wizard) so he can strike and defend with scrolls that make up part of his body.
I am looking for suggestions for a monster to add the class level to.
If you have a pc race that I can reflavor that would be great too.
Anything thats is Paizo Pathfinder material. (tome of horrors as well)

just take the stats of a level 1-2 human scroll master wizard and refluff the appearance, tack on construct traits and BAM. instant paperman.
maybe have some angry paperstorms (take a basic swarm and replace diseases/poisons with dazzled or shaken status for d4 rounds or something) accompany him to prevent him from just getting swamped and raped by the party via sheer numbers.
edit: or what Mathwei said. that'd save time.

i used a similar monster idea... They were in a wizard's tower and the most warded room was his library. Inside the library was a pile of books that animated into a man shaped form and attacked. I used the wood golem as a base creature and made him weaker in terms of defense and damage and made up for the difference that it had scrolls wedged into him that he could cast as a standard action. I had 1 3rd level scroll, 3 2nd level scrolls, and 6 1st level scrolls that the "book Golem had at his disposal.
Also instead of shooting splinters like the wood golem he would shoot pieces of paper that would do slashing damage for all the papercuts. when the party killed/burned the golem the treasure that he drops was the extra scrolls that he didn't use. I'd put the stats up that i used for it but...i kinda winged it as it was on the fly and didn't write them down...sorry. Anywho I hope this helps.
