Hallo everybody,
I plan to take a few levels of the polearm master archetype for 'Pole Fighting' and 'Polearm Training' but now after reading it I have following question.
under 'Pole Fighting' "...a polearm master can shorten the grip on his spear or polearm with reach and use it against adjacent targets."
it says spear or polearm does that mean every weapon in the Spears and Polearms weapon group?
the same problem with 'Polearm Training' it says: "...gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls with spears and polearms."
so would he gain weapon training in two groups?
the question may be easily answered but I prefer to be sure about something then feel like I read the rules to suit my tastes

The ability say so? yes, then he gains weapon training with both type of weapons.

There is no weapon called "polearm" so either it does not work or it is referring to the polearm group. Also note that all weapons in the spear group except for the lance, tiger fork and trident have the word spear somewhere in their description or flavour text. That could be a good argument for the use of other weapons in the spear category.
It would appear that it would give weapon training in the two groups.
