Ifrit alternate racial question

The wording of the "Efreeti Magic" alterate racial trait seems a little odd to me. It says:

Quote:
Efreeti Magic: Some ifrits inherit an efreeti ancestor's ability to magically change a creature's size. They can cast either enlarge person or reduce person (the ifrit chooses when using this ability) once per day as a spell-like ability (caster level equals the ifrit's level). The ifrit can use this ability to affect other ifrits as though they were humanoid creatures. This racial trait replaces the spell-like ability racial trait.

Now, it seems like this ability gives Ifrits the ability to ignore the "humanoids only" restriction on Enlarge Person and Reduce Person, but is it intended that this *only* works on *other* Ifrits, or could an Ifrit do this to themselves? The wording could be seen as implying the former, but if that was the case, why not clearly state that the Ifrit can't use the ability on themselves? Also, why wouldn't they be able to enlarge/shrink themselves?

If it was restricted to only others it would say "only other ifrits." Since it doesn't say that, you should be able to cast it on yourself.

You have a good point. By a strict reading, the Ifrit would be unable to cast it on himself, but I doubt it was intentional. I'd certainly allow the Ifrit to enlarge or reduce himself.
