Weapon Enchants for Gunslinger

Advice

I'd like some opinions on what sort of weapon I should be using. We are using advanced firearms, and I am playing a firearm-wielding character. We are at level 8.

I have enough gold to make my weapon a +2 equivalent. I've read the merits of straight up enhancement bonus.... however I was wondering if this still applied to firearms? I expect to be hitting pretty much all the time so long as I don't misfire. My lowest attack is at least +8, (counting only masterwork bonus, typical negatives (deadly aim, etc.) included).

Is +2 still the best option? I thought about Distance but then I read its pretty much useless with advanced firearms. I could go +1 Frost. I could save my gold to get a more expensive enchantment later (if so, what?). I could do something else entirely? Help a guy out here..

In the coming levels, more creatures are going to have DR/XX. During those times, the enhancement bonus (once it is higher) will help overcome this issue.

However, as a gunslinger, you can just buy ammo (or make) of different materials, and use them after someone makes an appropriate knowledge check (trying not to give meta-game advice). If that is the case, then going with other magical abilities will benefit you more. Also, get friendly with someone to cast Align weapon (or get holy or an equivalent). As for choosen an elemental type, I would first decide on what you are fighting alot of and if those creatures tend to show resistance or vulnerability to a particular energy type. If fighting lots of evil or good creatures, I would first try to get holy or unholy. If fighting a specfic type; such as shapeshifters, I would get bane. If fighting alot of different things, I might save up for one of the burst properties (unless your GM will let you convert from say flaming/frost to the burst when enhancing).

Edited for additional advice and clarifications.

Liberty's Edge

As you say hitting is not much of an issue, but misfire is a pain, so I would recommend a +1 reliable weapon. If that doesn't reduce misfire to 0 save up for a +1 greater reliable weapon. After that just add on additional damage enhancements like corrosive and holy.

With respect to DR, just get the clustered shots feat and then DR won't really bother you.

Lucky Lucky Lucky. Lucky is the best enchant you can get, bar none

The problem with reliable is that if you play to level 13, you never misfire, but that is a long way away.

Another good one is Distance. For a gunslinger, dr isn't that much of an issue, just take clustered shots as a feat, plus the ammo types are nice
