I thought it was going to be a different song.
I might enter the RPG superstart one of these days.

Why is Medusa evil?
I always thought making the medusa a tragic heroic figure would be kinda neat(which both Percy Jackson and the remake of Clash of the Titans both dropped the ball on...heck Clash of the Tians even went into her history and in the next scene the 'hero' leads his men into the the cave with the line 'Lets kill this b!#$%%').
So in my games atleast medusa is just a race with the same capacity for evil or good...or apathy as anyother race.

For the Percy Jackson, they kind of had to. I would not have helped the plot to have made Poseidon a bad guy. Of course, not using Medusa at all would have also solved that problem - and that would have avoided making Athena look bad also.
Come to think of it, all the Greek Gods were pretty monstrous.
...
Are you radioactive?

The Greek gods were perfect examples on how NOT to act.
Are you radioactive?
I like the orginal version of the song better...but that was not that bad.
And no I am not radioactive.

how can i run a game with 0 prep?
It is really hard to say as I am not you( meaning I don't know what your stegnths and weaknesses are).
What I personaly do is just sit back and react and build off what the PCs do.
Here are some other advice in general:
1) Don't be afraid to call a session a little early if you find yourself stuck.
2) Think about the game whenever you have the time( while driving, just before bed, in the shower, at work(if you have that type of job), etc.)
3) Know the characters in your game. From the stats and mechanics to their background and goals.

Very little....loose outline...maybe a stat block or two.

Well, there is this funny thing about birthdays ...
But the real question is …

You
Distracted
Enough?
