With magic items being rare (like you might get one)
There is two different main types of magic.
1) is magic from the kami which is what available to the PCs. It is priestly in nature and looked upon favorably.
2) than there is maho-tsuki...aka blood magic which is a evil magic. And generally feared and outlawed.
Magic is based on the 5 Rings...Air, Earth, Fire, Water, Void (though void magic is only open to one group it is a rarer magic).
Both magic call on a local spirit. The good magic call on kami while the evil magic call on kensen. Usually making a offering.
There are spells to invoke and such.

Selene Spires wrote:That is a crappy answer...trying to think of how to answer that question without going too much in the mechanics of the game....Now I am kind of interested in how it differs from 1st Edition. :D
It is actually very similar to 1st Ed except for how the dice work and interact.

Also In other news finally for The Book of Passion.
It looks pretty good...couple of things one of them being personal.
1) i kind of wished i was in a game where i could use it...
2) My friend who passed away was also a backer. So I felt obligated to inform them of his passing. :(
Also I remembered at the time I was short on cash so i was going to pull out of the kickstarter. He gave me the money so I could get it. So it is kind like a final gift from him.
3) In the list of backers I listed as Selene Spires!

Based on both your recent experience, and some posts elsewhere on these boards, any table is exactly as inclusive as the participants want it to be and no more. (for example)
Based on that criteria, would early Pathfinder be considered "inclusive"?

Yes unless I am missing something...I felt very included.

Last weekend was tough.
First my Brother and his family were up visiting. And it just seems like everytime family gathered someone say some BS Anti-Trans thing. This time it was my horrible Sister In Law. She was defending JK Rowling saying 'women are women'. This is especially scary as the woman is a guidance consular. I can see her telling some poor kid questioning their gender ID that. Which is not only useless but dangerous.
Second I went to a friend's Bar-B-Que and either got food poisoning or allergic reaction to some wine I drank. I came home with s migraine and threw up. Though I felt almost immediately better after throwing up.
Third I woke up Sunday morning to find out my Dad took my Mom to the hospital for a fever and chills. She is doing better now and should be home today. Though last I heard they dont know what caused it.

There's more I want to discuss on this subject, but I've been kind of slammed.

No problem I can wait. Should be around
Taking the time to re-review the book, the Pathfinder Inner Sea World Guide (from 2011) was still both cisgender and hetero normative (and Eurocentric).
That said (for good or ill), I actually do prefer it to the current version.

Mmmm....I didn't find it that way as they really didn't get into npcs relationships...that mostly happened in the APs and more detailed campaign setting.
And yes there are Europe-like countries there are also alot that are not.

So life updates...I am going to break it up in two posts.
1) So I started playing a App game called Lust of Mafia. It is a odd game that seems to appeal to straight guys and lesbians. Anyway I have made some good supportive friends there. Also I found it I love writing erotica.
I created a discord channel where we can share dirty pictures, share dirty stories, engagage in exotic rp, share cat pics, and generally support each other. It more support from remote internet...but I need all the support I can get.
Amazingly giving the nature of site there is no as much of a creep vibe. I get hit on...a lot. Most guys are fine with being friend zoned. Or I don't get flack.
And there is a girl...sigh *hearteyes*
Now if I can only get then to play PF or L5R.

2) Remember a little while ago I mentioned a friend invited me over to hang out and offer a safe place to be myself. Last Thursday was the second time we got together. Two great things happened...
1) I tried on a new shirt and it looked great!
2) My friend's wife's friend was also there. They really made feel like a woman...and very safe. It was awesome.
Definitely support I needed in in RL!

It was also true that in 2011, a fledgling company would want to be timid on the subject of LGBTQ. (… even then the romance "Sir Jasper Korvaski" and "Cyrdak Drokkus", ROTRL Burnt Offerings, p69-70 of the 3.5 adventure showed what Paizo wanted to do.)

I am on vacation all week!
It is pretty long...have to find the time to sit thru it.
But not watching it I know why I love playing RPGs.
True, it is nearly an hour long.
It is about how Rowen (formally Robert) Ellis, and others discovered their true genders and other LGBTQ individuals worked out who they really were by playing D&D 5E.
Unfortunately, for many people D&D 5E is synonymous with TTRPGs. :(

So today I for once cried tears of joy.
So on that app game community where I am really connecting to people someone told me I should come over to a different server they think I would get along great with their friends there. Which is kind of nice in itself...but than something happened.
The community said things like...
'You can't steal Selene!'
'Selene you can't leave us'
Etc.
I am not used to being loved like this.
I am not used to being recognized as a positive effect on people.
Hence the tears of joy.
If all the demons in hell stood between me and this community...feel sorry for those demons.
And there is a special girl there too...
Anyway I just to say that it also made me realize the the community here loves me the same way. Just to say thank you.

Also acfriend has convinced me read a Warhammer 40k novel havent decided which on yet.
I think Eisenhorn is a good one to start with because it's about an inquisitor rather than a space marine and shows a lot more of the universe than war. It also develops into a longer running series that branches off to follow his compatriot. There is an upcoming Amazon produced show based on these novels. Another one of my favorites is The Talon of Horus, the first novel in the Black Legion series.
