Awesome. Let us know what you think, and what you would enjoy playing!

Saw that "More Malcontent" for the Malefactor class was just released and I am curious if you were going to be doing print copies and Hero Lab files for this product?

I bought the Malefactor class PDF/Print/HL bundle last time and love having it all and am willing to pay the extra cash to get it all.

Thanks!

ub3r_n3rd, at this time we do not plan on doing print of More Malcontent by itself... Also, the Hero Lab files will completely depend on slave labor. There is a huge demand for folks who can do that sort of thing, so we are just going to retro-fit our products with Herolab when the files are completed.

Also, if you like our mechanics and design, check out our new lorebooks! The first one is called Dwellers in Dream, and it contains five all new fey-themed races. It's eighty-some pages of fey wickedness.

Guess I'll just buy it and head to Kinko's to print it out!

Cool, thanks for the quick response and letting us know what you plan on doing with the retro-fitting of your product.

I'll take at the other Dwellers product as well, you guys do great a great job with your products, keep up the awesome work!

Just bought it. There is so much dark, malevolent love in my heart for this.

This book needs more feats and maledictions. The prestige class and archetypes aren't very interesting.

Any chance of there being more maledictions and feats coming along in the near future? Some that fit well into Way of the Wicked would have been nice.

The book have some nice things, but I find many of the things, especially Maledictions and Archetypes, too much specific and a bit lacking on power. We are talking about a real interesting class, but that have not spells nor good BAB. That make that the class need really good options. Have some nice ones, but find a bit lacking, specially on the damage side; good utility, good debuff, awesome background... but really, really low damage options. That and no spells without good BAB can be a problem. Also, some of the options are incredibly specific on their utility.

Is not a bad book; some good things there and I really love the concept of the class, but feels a little like a missed opportunity.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

I have a Malefactor player in my game at home. She doesn't do a lot of damage, but her ability to make my life miserable as a GM and keep the baddies on their heels is impressive. The Malefactor wasn't designed as a damage dealer. It's an entirely different play style, which may ruffle some folks' feathers if they are used to blasters and slicers. I think the evil laughter from the players is worth the trade-off.
