No really, I get like one or two votes for things like wind turbines and making women US Citizens from my favorite Paizonians... but what would get your attention and your Your Participation?
Mmmm....I think I would sign one that makes Pizza(and not Dominoes and Pizza Hut pizza but real pizza) the national food of America.
I would also sign one that states only citizens of America can make these petions.
mmmm...
Oh there should be a pizza national day where all the pizza's are free.
mmmmm...
That is about it for now...i'll let you know if there is more later.

For starters, the petition should be something that you know...could actually be implemented, or which at least attempts to make a vague attempt at making political and economic sense.
That said, petitions like the ones Yellowdingo submits, or the recent one for Texas to suceed, make me realize how ridiculous that petition website is, which doesn't encourage me to sign anything there.

1 it must actually make sense
2 it must actually be possible
3 it must be good for our country without unduly robbing the taxpayersEverything you suggest so far fails at least 2 of the 3
Revoke the citizenship of criminals and deport them to Guam for Life?
Seed Afghanistan with Mimosa Pigra from the Air to (a) end dust storms that affect the health of people, (b) reforest the region with antipersonnel plant species, (c)ruin opium poppy fields

The only thing I've ever signed an online petition about was during the SOPA/PIPA protests. Most anything else I've seen since I've yet to care enough about to bother.
It's CISPA now. The horrors never cease.
And as for petitions... how much do they actually accomplish? The serious ones that is. I contact my Congressmen whenever something comes up that I'm really passionate about (such as the afforementioned CISPA [which Rob Portman claims is all about "security"]), and it's my understanding that they tend to notice when their constituents take the time to email them.

First step... Stop making stupid ones. I won't bother with more than that because that's hard enough.

In what way are they stupid? Wind turbines bring in income and help rebuild the failing state. "Yay! we can afford pensions and free medical care for old people!"
Making Women US citizens means they have a future other than: "You, woman, make me sons! And why are you not wearing that sack over your head? God says wear the sack over your head!" Slap! Slap! slap!

The United States has a pretty lousy track record when it comes to imposing it's own standards on others. It simply doesn't work.
There's also the National Sovereignty thing to consider as well.
You want things to improve for women in other countries, give some real material support to the folks who are actually putting thier effort, and in some cases their lives on the line to do so.
