Barbarian / Fighter

Advice

I have built a barbarian 2/fighter 4, character which I now know was backward build, So my question what suggested direction should I go, Im looking at going two more levels in fighter class,

Stats: Str 21, Dex 16, Cons 15, Int 15, Wis 13, Cha 16

My feats are: Furious focus, great cleave, power attack, vital strike, weapon focus: Greatsword,

any suggestion where I might go from here? My first build in pathfinder.

-Dodge
-Toughnes

Because as a barbarian, youll need more ac because you only can wear medium armor.

Combat Reflexes, Endurance, Diehard.
Intimidating Prowess might also be a good one, depending on what you're going for. Judas has it though, Dodge and Toughness are almost necessary if you don't have a specific build in mind. Quick Draw is handy when you don't have a move action and REALLY need that heavy weapon on your back.

What Rage Power did you pick? How often do you rage? Extra Rage and Extra Rage Power (from the APG) are options if you want more ragey goodness.

All you lose by wearing heavy armor is the barbarian's fast movement, so if you're worried about AC you could just wear fullplate.

You list Great Cleave as one of your feats - is it meant to be just Cleave?

it depends what you want to do

the barbarrian could be alot toughter if you make him an invul rager!

and getting raging vitality feat!

and keep on pushing barbarian. your to hit wil be amazing but right now your rage pool is pritty low because of only 2 lvl's of barb!

and extra rage is defenetly good for you as you are starved on rage rounds!

the fighter is pritty feat heavy so if you want to do that then dont think about barbarian to much and just use his rage when you want the extra to hit and damage but if you want to do some real damage go full barb from now and get some nice rage powers like come and get me reckless abandon

i do feel that your fighter build is somewhat anti barbarrian but thats just my opinion

what archtypes?

fighters work very well with 2 levels of urban barabain.

since you have 16 dex, i would not go invulerable.

getting uncanny dodge is for useful for you.

if you are a vanilla fighter, get to at least 7 fighters, so you can maximize armor training.

make sure to take weapon specialization.

I would stay a fighter until at least 7

if you want more options, you can start building towards a stalwart defender, which works well with both barbarian and fighter multiclass characers. if you go that route work on getting a chord of resolve and gloves of dueling, and you will be in excellent shape and will be able to deal with a wide variety of combat situations from offensive to defene to battle field control

I have great cleave

cleave is a prerequisite of great cleave. you can't have great cleave without taking cleave first.

also vital strike and cleave are not that great as feats, since they require you give up your iterative attacks (those are the extra attacks you get for having a base attack bonus of +6 or higher)

here is a good fighter/barbarian build based on intimidating people:
(use any race you like)

1 (barbarian) power attack
2 (fighter) (fighter bonus) weapon focus greatsword
3 (fighter) furious focus (fighter bonus)dazzling display
4 (barbarian) (rage power)beast totem, lesser
5 (barbarian) intimidating prowess
6 (barbarian) (rage power)intimidating glare
7 (barbarian) cornugon smash
8 (barbarian) (rage power)beast totem
9 (barbarian) shattered defenses
10 (barbarian) (rage power)terrifying howl
11 (barbarian)dreadful carnage
12 (barbarian) (rage power)beast totem, greater

this will, at level 12, allow you to charge an enemy, get all your attacks against him (getting a free intimidate check to make him flat footed to you after the first attack), if you kill him you get a free attempt to demoralize everything within 30 feet of you for free, thereby making all of them flat footed to you, so you can charge the next person and do it again.

or, if you want to, after the first turn of ripping someone apart, you can terrifying howl the next turn to make everyone who was shaken from your murdering their friend to run in fear of you.

so in the end this build will allow you to do:
1) tons of damage as a raging barbarian with pounce
2) debuff enemies so that their saving throws, defenses, and other abilities are reduced thanks to your intimidate check against them, thereby helping your other group members.

I built a dwarf barb 4/ fighter 4. I pumped my will save via superstition and static damage via rage specialization and power attack. It worked out pretty well for me.
