Masterwork Bow and Masterwork Ammuntion?

Rules Questions

Hey,

If you have a Masterwork or +1 Bow, do you then need to also purchase Masterwork or +1 Ammunition, or because the effect is already on the bow, will it carry through to the arrows?

I would have thought that masterwork or +1 Ammunition is used for those who don't yet have a Masterwork or +1 Bow.

Anyway, thanks!

The bonus do not stack, an magical bow puts its enchantment onto any arrow fired from it. so if you have a +1 flaming bow your arrows are +1 flaming, even if you use masterwork arrows they are still +1 flaming. Now lets say you find a +1 shocking arrow, when you fire it from your +1 flaming bow your arrow would be a +1 flaming and shocking arrow.

You are thinking correctly. Although having a variety of bane arrows can do a lot of damage when the need arises (and is the only kind of magical arrow I've ever seen someone buy/craft).

"Silver" and "Adamantine" arrows for example?

the advantage of buying magical arrows are if you know your going to fight something thats weak vs an element I have seen someone buy 20 flaming arrows to fight a white dragon, they did not want to replace their bow just to do extra damage to the dragon.

Great. Thanks very much!
