Has anyone statted out Daralathyxl (and other dragon questions)

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I see that there are a few high end named dragons but none that are named Daralathyxl. I do have a few other dragon questions.

1) Who is the toughest of the tough?

2) Where is Choral and Metterak from?

3) Is there a Paizo Book of dragons?

thanks.

If by "Book of Dragons" you mean a book of dragon ecologies as seen by Paizo, then yes, there are two sources...

The first is an article in AP #4 "Fortress of the Stone Giants".

The second is from the "Pathfinder Chronicles" (later renamed "Pathfinder Campaign Setting") line, called "Dragons Revisited"...

Both were written for D&D 3.5 however...

If you mean a book of "Famous Paizoian Dragons and their stats", then no... The closest thing to that I have seen is Super Genius Games series of books entitled: "Codex Draconis" which stats out generic dragons of each age category from the PFRPG Bestiary...

This might also interest you.

Though, to manage expectations, Daralathyxl is not one of the featured dragons in the book. There are 15 different dragons in the book however.

Choral is statted up in the final chapter of the Kingmaker AP in the 'Continuing the Campaign' section.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Dragons Revisited is a great book imho. It does have a CR 26 build for Daralathyxl, and additionally a few more wyrms. It's OGL though so 3.5 and not PF yet.

Also d20pfsrd.com has a build for every age category of every kind of dragon, plus a few draconic unique monster NPCs from paizo sources among them this advanced great wyrm red dragon (Choral the conqueror) from Pathfinder 36: Sound of a Thousand Screams.

Dragons Revisited also has errors relating to the various dragon types and there roles on Golarion. Some of it has been retconned.

So, with that in mind, your best bet would probably be Dragons Unleashed once it comes out, which will be a book of "famous Golarion dragons and their stats". As stated, Daralathyxl won't be in it and neither will Mengkare.

Can you elaborate a little on these "errors" and on what has been retconned ?
