Favored Class Question

If I'm a human fighter for 6 levels and then a Duelist for 5 levels, how many levels of favored class do I have for extra skill points?

If you chose favored class (fighter) at level 1, then for each of your 6 fighter levels you would gain a favored class benefit.

Thanks

Core Rulebook: Chapter 3: Favored Classes wrote:
Each character begins play with a single favored class of his choosing—typically, this is the same class as the one he chooses at 1st level. Whenever a character gains a level in his favored class, he receives either + 1 hit point or + 1 skill rank. The choice of favored class cannot be changed once the character is created, and the choice of gaining a hit point or a skill rank each time a character gains a level (including his first level) cannot be changed once made for a particular level. Prestige classes (see Prestige Classes) can never be a favored class.

So, one would presume that you would choose "fighter" as your favored class.

Unless he's going to take 9 levels of rogue, and really wants those extra skill ranks later on!

Or if he's a half-elf with Arcane Training so that his fighter can activate sorcerer/wizard wands and scrolls. ;)

If he is a half-elf, then he can have two favored classes, as long as one of them is not a prestige class. ;)
