Barding for animals in pathfinder society?

Is there barding for companions in pathfinder society? I was thinking of this about my girlfriends driud companion. Couldn't it wear barding to give it a higher ac like you can put barding on attack dogs?

Yes, you just have to give it the fear light armor proficiency feat and pay the cost and such to make him armor.

You don't need any armor proficiency feats if the armor check penalty is zero.

How do you figure cost of the armor? She wants armor on her lion any ideas which Beard Ben would be best with no armor check penalties?

Does the animal suffer penalties if the armor isnt taken off when it goes to sleep just like it would a humanoid? Is there any armor that wont give penalties for not taking it off to go to sleep?

Sleeping in light armor does not cause fatigue. Medium and heavy does.

+5 ac 0 armor check penalty and it counts as light armor.

That's quite a bit of cash for an AC though... go with mithral chain shirt and get an amulet of nat armor with the difference instead.

Don't forget the penalty to attack for not being proficient in the Armor the Animal/mount/companion/familiar is wearing if it does not have the feat for it.

I think that is why we keep suggesting barding with zero Armor Check penalty :)

Poundpuppy is not very familiar with the rules, so that is why I pointed it out to him. Giving him a solution without telling him what he is solving is really not that useful.
