so if I summon a critter from SNA 4, what would the level of the light spell be? 0 or 4? Search fu is showing no previous questions. Looking for a feat for my "first worlder" summoner. Thinking that if take moon or sun and summon a critter in a darkness spell from SNA4 it should over come it cause effective spell level is 4. Any ne think this would not be the case?

I don't know what "Moon or Sun" is - could you cite it or link to it?
If Moon or Sun allows you to use a summon spell to create a darkness or light effect that darkness or light effect would probably share the level of the summon spell for purposes of dispelling other effects, but I would need to see "Moon or Sun" to be sure.

I'm assuming you mean the Moonlight and Sunlight Summons feats. The feat description says the creatures glow as per the light spell. It says nothing about increasing the effect as the level increases.

OH, sorry.
Moonlight Summons
Your summoned minions are infused with the power of the moon.
Prerequisites: Spell Focus (conjuration), able to cast summon nature's ally.
Benefit: Creatures you summon shed light as a light spell. They are immune to confusion and sleep effects, and their natural weapons are treated as silver for the purposes of overcoming damage reduction.
Sunlight Summons
Your summoned minions shine with the power of the sun.
Prerequisites: Spell Focus (conjuration), able to cast summon nature's ally.
Benefit: Creatures that you summon shed light as a light spell. They are immune to blinding or dazzling effects, and their natural weapons are treated as magical for overcoming damage reduction.

"as a light spell". That's what you're looking for. The power of the light is 0-level. If it said "as a torch", that would be a measure of how much light is given off, i.e. 20 feet of normal light and 20 feet of increased one step light. But "as a light spell" defines both the amount of light and the power of the light (in this case, 0-level). If you're looking to beat Deeper Darkness, you'll at least need Daylight, or better, the Pallavi of Nirvana's Blossoming.
