Pathfinders,
I am very excited to announce that Dan Donnelly has agreed to take
over the position of Venture-Captain for our lodge!
I started this lodge two and a half years ago, after playing my first
PFS game in 2010 at Council of Five Nations. In those short years we
have grown from only having 1 table at game-a-thon, to offering over
20 PFS games a month at 7 locations. Unfortunately with this growth
comes additional responsibilities. Earlier this year I came to the
realization that I did not have the time to continue providing the
support our lodge needed. Luckily for all of us Dan has stepped up to
take on these responsibilities, he has a lot of great ideas and I am
very excited to see what he will be able to do with the lodge.
Thank you, all of you, for your support over the past couple years,
--
Venture-Lieutenant
Evan R. Whitefield

You failed your Will save, and now you're one of us.
I think it was a Fort...:)

It's actually a Will save and a Fort save. And depending on the region a Reflex as well. ;D
All jokes aside, congrats! May Sarenrae bless your dice with awesomeness and your players with joy.

Thank you. I can use all the blessings I can get on my dice. Couple weekends ago my 8th level dies 3 times in one encounter!

I do believe it was four times Evan we have the tombstone to consult.

Thank you all for the warm welcome and best wishes.
I first want to spend a moment thanking Evan for all the hard work he
has put into our lodge and into PFS in general. It takes an
immeasurable amount of time and effort to grow an organization
twenty-fold. It takes dedication, hard work, time, more time,
organization and a lot of help. Evan did a marvelous job and we
should all be very proud of him. Unless you have done it you can
never understand the effort that it takes to accomplish it as well as
he has.
I guess that brings us to me. For those that don't know me or have
not met me - shame on me - I will correct that shortly as I get to
more events over our entire region. I was the Director of the RPGA
Living City campaign for over four years. We grew from running 30
scenarios a year to well over 120 scenarios a year around the world.
Supporting over 2,500 players I think we topped 300 tables at Gen Con
for each of the last three years I was there (it sometimes seemed like 300 tables per slot). I have been playing PFS for 18 months now having taken time away from the convention and gaming scene to have a child and travel around the globe for work. Finally I settled into one area and that is the Capital Region.
A request from a friend to play over his 50th Birthday weekend has
turned into this. I know many people in the area from judging events
from Living City to Living Jungle to Living Death to Living Greyhawk and worked with Kenzer Company to design and kick off the Living Kalamar campaign and now supporting PFS only. (Thank you for not using the Living title Paizo)
So thanks again to all of you and most of all thanks to Evan.
Dan

The forth time was in a different encounter. Though in the same location.

Sorry I missed this earlier.
Congrats Dan! I look forward to working with you in the future.
And Evan ... Wow! This was a huge surprise. I never saw it coming. You have been an awesome VC and I'm sorry to see you go, but I'm glad you are putting what's best for the region first. I know it is a hard position to walk away from.
But I must call you on the Capital Region Lodge being 2.5 years old. I founded the Boston Lodge only 1.5 years ago and I don't think you were even a Venture-Lieutenant at that point. I'm guessing you meant that you started organizing the region and coordinating games there 2.5 years ago. In any case, it is a thriving Lodge thanks to your leadership.
And my big question is ... are you still going to GenCon?
