Valet Archetype and Stealth Synergy

Using the Valet archetype and the Stealth Synergy feat

Could I stick my familiar in my pocket and gain its benefits?

Yes.

Can you see your familiar while it's in your pocket?

If not, no.

Liberty's Edge

No. You need to see your ally to gain the benefit of the Stealth Synergy feat.

What is the actual benefit you're looking for? Just someone else to roll?

I suspect you're misinterpreting what Stealth Synergy does.

Everyone rolls a d20. Then everyone takes the highest roll and adds their own bonuses.

If Dude #1 has a +4 Stealth, Dude #2 has +10 Stealth, Dude #3 has -2 Stealth (from penalties or whatever), and all of them have Stealth Synergy, they would all roll a d20. Let's say the die rolls come up 2, 12, and 18.

That means D1 has a 22, D2 has 28, and D3 has 16.

It does not, as it is commonly misinterpreted to do, add everyone's modifiers into one pool such that all three would have a 30.

it does however, allow for a rogue with his familiar on his shoulder to roll twice on all stealth checks and take the highest.

it would also allow someone with their familiar on their shoulder to move anywhere in combat without provoking AoOs with the escape route feat.

So? You can look into your own pocket, can't you?

@mplindustries- Heh I understand that it's just using the best roll, not the best roll+modifiers. Thank you, though.

Hmm, shoulder eh? Interesting. Much thanks, all.

And yep aware of the Escape Route trick but a bit too cheesy for me to try in an actual game. An amusing idea, though.
