Aroden's Spellbane choosing Aroden's Spellbane

Rules Questions

Hi,

I was just wondering-what happens if you cast Aroden's Spellbane choosing Aroden's Spellbane as one of the banned spells (since it is explicitly stated that it is possible)? If the spell bane works against itself, it will cause itself to not function (and not ban itself)-which would allow its effect to come into play again, ad infinum. How is this resolved? Or am I misunderstanding how the spell works (specifically it stating "another" Aroden's Spellbane)? Thanks in advance.

Wouldn't it just stop functioning as antimagic field?

I'd imagine the Aroden's spellbane ban is immune to itself. I.e., you can have it force other spellbanes to stop working (while they overlap anyway), but it isn't going to negate itself.

Not really positive though, just how it seems like it would make the most sense.

It says "another Aroden's spellbane", which means it prevents all other spellbanes from functioning, but not itself.

Of course, if two people both have spellbanes in effect on themselves, and both decided to ban spellbane, then neither spellbane will function within the overlapping areas.
