When I was attempting to pay for Fire Mountain's Way of the Wicked Book 6: Wages of Sin, the site would tell me after every attempt that my payment method (my credit card), was unsuccessful. I believed it was a problem with my company (RBC), who was having difficulties relating to Credit card info at the same time.
However, upon calling my credit card company, they said that the transaction for Wages of Sin had been accepted 7 or so times. I naturally only want to purchase it ONCE.
Please message back; I'm not sure how to resolve this; I'd hope for a refund on the extra downloads of Wages of Sin, given how the Paizo website was misinforming me, saying that it WASN'T accepting my payment methods.
Thank you

Most likely it was being rejected on pspiso side for you having a different billihg address on your card from your billing address here. There for the authorization went through, your credit card company gave paizo the cards billing address.. and they checked it. It failed that part of the security, and your card wasnever actually charged.... I would check your addresses here to make sure they are correct.

The order actually hasn't been completed yet. The payment was declined on our merchant service's side. When you attempt to place and order, our merchant services takes the payment information and sends it to your bank. Your bank sends back a code based on whether the numbers entered were correct, there are funds in the account and whether the address matches. Recently our merchant services was updated and they are now much more strict about the address verification. The bank sends back a "no match" message so we cannot accept it, however, often the bank will accept the authorization regardless of whether they send a "no match" on the address.
Authorizations are not settlements of charges. Rather, they let the merchant (in this case Paizo) know that the information is correct and there are funds available to charge. If an authorization is put through the bank usually "holds" the funds aside. The money doesn't leave your account, but often, it isn't usable either because the bank expects a settlement for that amount to be following shortly. If an authorization isn't used it usually expires within a few days (for debit) and depending on the bank, a few weeks for credit cards.
I've put reversal requests through for each of the authorizations that your bank approved. Depending on their policies you should see those disappear within a few hours to a few days.
To get your order submitted, go through check out and make sure your billing address on your paizo.com payment matches exactly with the billing address that your bank has on file (including case, punctuation and abbreviation). If you are unable to get it to go through, please email customer service your billing address *exactly* how it appears with your bank. When we've had issues with this previously, we can often figure out the issue if we have a screen shot of the billing address.
Let me know if you have any questions.
thanks
