"Fury-Born (weapon special ability): A fury-born weapon draws power from the anger and frustration the wielder feels when battling foes that refuse to die. Each time the wielder damages an opponent with the weapon, its enhancement bonus increases by +1 when making attacks against that opponent (maximum total enhancement bonus of +5). This extra enhancement bonus goes away if the opponent dies, the wielder uses the weapon to attack a different creature, or 1 hour passes. Only melee weapons can have the fury-born ability."
It looks like a Furyborn weapon that's been pumped up to a +5 should overcome DR just like any other +5 weapon.

Ssalarn is correct. The additional enhancement bonuses it adds will count towards overcoming DR.
Greater Magic Weapon is the exception to the general rule that a high enough enhancement bonuses will overcome DR. Since there's no exception in Fury-born that I'm seeing, it'll count. Of course, it'll have to overcome the +2 deficit you have by having the ability in the first place.

That was my biggest problem with Furyborn. You essentially need to acquire a +3 weapon that won't even work as well as a normal +3 weapon until you've landed at least two hits. I guess that by the time you get +3 weapons that's basically doable in one round, but still... and that +5 total enhancement bonus hurts a bit too, since the enchantment is basically worthless once you can acquire a +5 weapon. I'd rather snag a +1 Furious for a +2 total price bonus and be able to have it upgraded at appropriate junctures to eventually cap at a +7 when raging. I guess Furyborn is good for non-barbarians though...
