As the title says I am going to be in a 18th lvl one shot

I have already cleared using the construct armor with a "young" cannon golem

Plan is to use the shield guardian and both bio construct advancements to make it my armor work very well on and off of my person

So what I am wondering is what feats would be good for a "mindless" construct and what would also kind of fit the war machine concept

The gm has oked using the cannon when in the armor and is even happy that a pc could use the vital strike chain!!!

Alchemist wise you should definitely be taking Mummification as the immunity line up nicely with a construct.

Explosive Missle was made for your character add bomb damage to that Cannon shot and note its not got an asterix meaning you can load up any bomb combo you like.

Also consider taking the Internal Alchemist archtype in combination with the Mindchemist archtype. Again internal Alch gets you a bunch of immunites

As for feats once you've got the staples for ranged and melee attacks you want to take Extra Discovery ,Extra Discovery ,Extra Discovery ,Extra Discovery and Extra Discovery ...and Extra Discovery

hehe no really there are so many good discoveries the more you take the more versatile your alchemist will be.


Oh trust me the gm has lots planned for us I am sure haha

I have my internal mindchemist pretty much flushed out including kirin strike for the nice x4 int to damage on top of the 18d6 of the cannon and 9d6 of my bombs

I am more looking for feats that would be good for my golem


I also plan on bumping the hd up to 30 so there are 15 feats to work with and I am open to any ideas I personally dont have any thing planned just came across the the brain


15 feats is alot so you've got room to play with

depening on the your strength score Awesome Blow might be an iconic choice to bash away enemies too close to target with the cannon.

I would invest alot of feats into the extra discovery and take almost many of the bomb varients so you can maximise your hurt against various targets, the bomb clouds are also an excellent choice for battlefield control, as a Golem you can drop stink and poison clouds at your feet and then anyone trying to get to you needs to rolls saves like crazy.

You'll need Fog goggles so you can still see out of the clouds you create.

with 30HD toughness for sure

I'd also check with your GM if he'd let you use Cannon shots to perform Combat Manuvers because if he does like a Ranged Sunder, ranged dirty trick or ranged disarm then invest into the relevant feat chains to beef up those CMB rolls.

Also I think Greater Blind fight could be very useful as even if you don't have fog goggles you can still shoot at anything outside any clouds you might make no to mention shooting cannons at people hiding behind walls

You might also want to consider the Bludgeoneer feat so that if needed you can send a cannon shot of 18d6 non lethal damage to instantly incapacitate without killing foes.

Although not optimised because your using a low threat ranged cannon the stunning critical is a very iconic effect for a huge cannon shot , you get hit with a cannon ball critical hell yes your stunned if not outright dead ;)

In general to make yourself tougher greater will, ref and fort feats just to make it less likely a lucky save or suck effect can take you down

don't forget the improved devastating strike to go with your vital strikes not to mention deadly aim of course.
