Which special materials can use with a whip? Only no metallic ones?

I would rule you could make a scorpion whip out of silver, cold iron, etc. because it's the blades that are doing the damage.

Braided leather wound around a core of barbed wire. The barbed wire being made of 1 strand cold iron, 1 strand mithril, and 1 strand adamantine. I made one of these in a home game for a PC and it was deliciously fun. I called it the "Mangler Tangler."

I had thought of allowing a PC Hexcrafter to make a whip out of her own hair and be able to use prehensile hair to control her whip.

When it is activated, the wielder can expend the power within it to gain a sacred (if activated with positive energy) or profane (if activated with negative energy) bonus on her next disarm or trip combat maneuver with the whip. Is Stinging whip considered a metalic weapon?

Can I buy a Cold Iron/Adamantine/Mithral Stinging whip?

I could see cold iron or w/e but I'm not so sure about adamantine.

The special braided weapon used by the Erinyes could be used as a model for this a bit.

I too would permit a scorpion whip to have a special metal blade, although not the stuff about three different types of metal.
