Weapon focus question

Rules Questions

I just want to make sure I have it right, weapon focus applies to just a single weapon such as a longsword correct? Or is it a group like weapon training the fighter skill? Also, do weapon training and weapon focus stack(as in a +2 with greatswords if I had weapon focus greatsword and weapon training heavy blades)?

It applies to a single type of weapon, yes, and it definitely stacks with Weapon Training.

Both are untyped bonuses, which stack with all other kinds of bonuses except duplicates of themselves.

Yes, only 1 weapon. There was a 3.5 UA rule that allowed them to cover a weapon group, and I am really surprised that didn't get folded into pathfinder.

It stacks with weapon training. Weapon training is untyped and so stacks with everything.

Actually it did, but it is a human feat.

"Folded into" as a default assumption of weapon training. As in, during the creation of pathfinder.

just one weapon per weapon focus.

They do stack.

If you are a human, you can look at Martial Versatility and Martial Mastery in the Advance Race Guide.

Those were the two feats I was thinking of.

no advanced player guide for me, we have a couple of older guys in the group that are uncomfortable learning a lot of rules at once so we are sticking with the core rule book. I was pretty sure it was weapon specific anyway and that's okay I will just have to live without the +1 to bastard swords for now.

Text conveys humor poorly.

nothing like that, just in their 50s and been playing simpler rules for the past fifteen years or so. In truth the rules really don't matter much, anything can be altered to fit the group and the gm.

I removed an offensive post.
